My husband and I came on a Friday night. We found the waitress good but food terrible. The food took a long time to come out, yet my burger was cold and bland. The bun needed to be toasted or some added flavor. My husband's flatbread was disappointing. It looked like they microwaved just cheese, ham and large pineapple chunks from a can on top of bread. The appetizer of potato skins was also smothered in way too much movie theater style cheese. We had high hopes for this restaurant but couldn't even eat our food. And still had to pay a high price. Only good thing was the beer.
My wife and I were looking for a place to stop for lunch and I drive past the red hen a lot .. so we decided to stop in and give it a try.
My family found ourselves in a pickle this past week on Thanksgiving. My Mom didn’t realize she had invited so many people to the house for the day and noticed we would not have enough table space for 30+ people. I remembered The Red Hen had a few long tables from a couple recent events I️ had been present at. So I️ called up and spoke to the restaurants manager who ended up being more than accommodating. Without a hesitation she let me come pick up the tables and use them over the holiday. The foods great, the service is grade A, and the management is amazing. Definitely recommend a visit if you can! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday. We were lucky and it wasn't crowded. The food was fantastic. The burgers we ordered were cooked perfectly and had a fresh home-made flavor. The cocktails were made with rich and intriguing flavors. The service was top notch. The staff was friendly and attentive. On top of that the atmosphere was attractive and captivating. I would highly recommend this place for a delicious casual meal.
We were greeted by a young women and was sat outside as requested and shortly after was greeted by the nicest waitress I think I have ever met. She quickly took our drink order and appetizer. Drinks came fast and so did the apps... so far so good.. everything was perfect. We ordered lunch .. i got a burger , wife got the Sunday chicken sandwich .. SO GOOD! Actually the best burger I think I have ever had to be honest ... the place was clean .. service was 100% on point .. food was great .. we will be back for sure!!! Keep it up!!
Just a disclaimer, I've never actually eaten at the Red Hen. I have sat at the bar for a drink and ordered take out multiple times. The beer list is pretty well curated. They always have at least a few crafts in interested in. The bartender is always friendly and attentive. The food has always been enjoyable. The butter steak panini (I could be wrong on the name) is delicious. The steak is tender and the flavors are bold and satisfying. The potato skins are good and the different flat breads we have tried have all been good. Nice little place that I'll be back to many times.
